Conventions of Pop: Big Recap Challenge
Hi Team GCSE Music!
We have now studied all of the genres in the Area of Study, Conventions of Pop. This week it is your challenge to complete the 20 question Kahoot to see how much information you have retained on the history of popular music.

Begin by watching the above video-lesson.
TASK 1: Listen to the Revision Playlist and test yourself/family members on the genre of each song (20 minutes)
The revision playlist is a short fun task for you to see if (and maybe your family) you can identify each of the song's genre, remember there are only four options at in the area of study;
Rock ’n’ Roll of the 1950s and 1960s
Rock Anthems of the 1970s and 1980s
Pop Ballads of the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s
Solo Artists of the 1990s through to the Present Day

TASK 2: Complete watching the Video Lesson above and conduct your own revision (60 minutes)
You can revise through any of the following ways.
Rewatch the video lessons for any of the genres (Rock 'n' Roll, Rock Anthems, Pop Ballads, & Solo Artists)
Re-read the lesson PowerPoints used for each of the genres. These include the DR SMITH Analysis Tables and Key Concepts.
Re-listen to any of the playlists for each genre, all of these can be found on the profile page of The Q3 Academy Music Department.

TASK 3: Complete the Revision Kahoot Quiz based on all of our learning in Conventions of Pop and their Spotify Playlists. (5 minutes)
