Title: Las fiestas de España y del mundo hispano
It is our last week of online learning! Well done for making it this far! I am really looking forward to seeing you again in September. For this last lesson we are going to look at some very popular festivals in Spain and Latin America. There are two videos to watch, so that you can see how crazy some of these festivals are!
You will need the Spanish foundation textbook on Kerboodle, page 68 - 71.

1. Do Now - translate the 2 sentences to remember the preterite tense from last week. 10mins
2. La Tomatina - watch the first video 5mins.
3. Reading - Read and listen to Ana's account of La tomatina. Then put the sentences in order, and decide if the next ones are true or false, 15mins.
3. Grammar - read and listen to the explanation of the imperfect tense. Choose the correct verb for each sentence, 15mins.
4. El dia de los muertos - watch the second video 5mins.
5. Read & listen to Cristina's account of her childhood in Mexico. Choose the correct option to complete each sentence 10mins
5. Grammar - choose the correct verb for each sentence 10mins
6. Listening - Listen to the details of a festival in Bolivia. Decide if each statement is true or false. EXTRA - listen again and note down the numbers 15 - 25mins
7. Translation - translate the sentences using the imperfect. Do this on classroom if you can. 15mins
