GCSE PE written coursework
The file on the left is an example Analysis section of the PE coursework, produced by AQA.
The sport of this student is Rugby. Though most of you won't be aware of some of the Rugby specific terms used, you can see the high level of detail they have gone in to to provide their examples of their own strengths and weaknesses.
It is clear to see how it is very personal to them, with regard to their performance in their position.
Your task this week is read carefully the attached exemplar and compare it to your own:
Have you completed both your fitness strength and weakness, and your skill/tactic strength and weakness?
Have you provided real, in detail examples to justify your own strengths and weaknesses from your own performance.
Also read the examiners comments at the bottom. This piece of work would have scored in the top band (13-15 marks). Is yours as detailed as this?
When you have updated your work to the standard that you feel best represents your ability, email to your teacher by 4pm on Friday.
Complete your PE Coursework Section 3 (Fitness Strength and Weaknesses). This should now mean sections 1,2 and 3 are all completed. The examples (1,2,3) of your strengths and weaknesses are the most important part of the coursework, therefore ensure explain these in detail.
Email the document with your completed sections to your teaching staff: Mr Hard (mhard@q3academy.org.uk) or Mr Richardson (mrichardson@q3academy.org.uk).
Hi students!
There are some great resources on this page for you to recap your knowledge on everything you have learnt in Year 9 and Year 10, plus the sections you have not yet covered.
Work through the PowerPoint presentations as they are uploaded weekly and test yourself on the work sheets and questions from both Paper 1 and Paper 2.
Also test yourself on the past exam papers, and use the mark schemes to check your progress. Remember these exact questions probably won't appear in 2021, so consider how they could be re-worded for different content within a topic.
Finally, remember to stay safe and stay active! Check out the challenges on the Wellbeing Active page. Let us know if you completed them!
Sedentary Lifestyle - Mr Hard
Follow the presentation and make notes. Pay particular attention to definitions.
Like I say in most lessons, attempt the starter questions without using your notes.
Exam style questions can be marked by yourself using the mark schemes at the top of this page, or if you would like me to take a look over them feel free to email me.
