Tasks to be submitted by 4pm on Friday:
Carry out detailed and justified analysis of a product that is related to your design context. Remember to avoid making generic and none specific statements.
Email your completed work to Mr Webster.
Complete a comprehensive analysis of a product that is related to your potential design context using a range of headings that are relevant to the product and that are fully justified.

Learning intentions
To develop sketching skills and methods of design communication using a range of mediums.
Total study time this week: 1 hour
Identify a household object that you can use as the subject for your task (it could be as simple as a vase or a table lamp). You need to sketch or model that object using a selection of different mediums. You could use any of the following examples but must use at least 4: pencil, pens, felts, wax crayons, paints, card models, plasticine, materials samples, cutlery, abstract objects. Try and be creative and use different methods. Where possible take photos of your work ready to submit.

To develop an understanding of the design brief and design specification.
Total study time: 1 hour
Now you have an understanding of the design context, target market and potential products, you will draft a design brief to outline the plan you have for your project and a specification so that you have a list of criteria that can be used to judge the success of your product.
